Antique Cabins and Barns, LLC specializes in the recovery and restoration of 19th century hand hewn log and timber frame structures. Our materials are carefully rescued from pioneer homesteads and given new life as modern homes of distinction.
Each year our staff visually inspects hundreds of buildings and selects only 20 to 30 buildings for restoration.
With museum quality restoration as our goal, we focus careful attention on the details of each building. • Unique structures • Quality craftsmanship • History • Log size and species • Building footprint
Before reaching your foundation, each structure has been carefully rebuilt with the same attention to detail and craftsmanship as the original builders and artisans. We photograph each structure before dismantling. The structure is then taken to our facility where it is reworked and erected. At this time we replace any logs that may have deteriorated over time. We take precise measurements to insure accurate foundation measurements as well as accurate elevations. The structure will then be ready for reassembly on your prepared foundation. Our experienced and knowledgeable staff have dismantled and reassembled over 200 antique log cabins and timber frame structures all over the country. In keeping with the desire to preserve the integrity of the structures, our other products include antique wide plank flooring, hand hewn beams, antique floor joists and porch posts, ceiling decking and weathered barn wood. We have a creative design team experienced in the conversion of antique structures allowing you to truly live in the past …today. |
